Netflix streams perfectly on my TiVo's also, but its the most basic of operation. You can seach a title, but not browse Netflix's library. It's also not intuitive enough to remember what episode I watched last. They've lumped all seasons/all episodes into one big pile. I'm old, I can't remember which episode I watched last, I rely on computers.I guess I am lucky with Netflix on my Premiere. Not perfect, but far from the issues others seem to have. Thanks for this post I went from feeling like Netflix was clunky to feelign pretty good about my product now
I have the XBOX and I like the Premiere way better. I dropped my online memebrship since I no longer access Netflix on it anymore. I guess just different issues for different people.

Netflix has been rock solid on my TiVos. It's always been my GoTo box. When there are netflix issues with my other devices, I can go to my tiVos and it is still working great.eI am getting really fed up with Netflix streaming on Tivo (in addition to all the other reasons to be fed up with Netflix right now). I go to watch something and there's no sound. Or there's no picture. Sometimes I can hit the jump-back button and that will fix things; sometimes not. These problems don't happen if I watch Netflix on my computer, just on Tivo.
On top of that, the Netflix episode lists for TV series don't show which I've already watched on Tivo (like the website does), which is also inconvenient.
It's reaching the point where I just watch Netflix on my computer (even though I can't use the remote control).
Tivo has no part in the development of Netflix software. That is handled by Netflix themselves. This is why for example, the Hulu software on Tivo is identical to the Hulu software on Roku. Basically what Tivo is stuck with is the obsolete "version 1.0" Netflix software while most other streaming devices use "version 2.0." It's my understanding that Tivo is contractually obligated to continue using this dated/unstable/clunky software. It's not their choice and until Netflix agrees to provide them with new software, it shall remain this way. Your best bet to get this addressed is to bombard Netflix with complaints. *****ing about it on this forum will lead to a whole lot of nothing. This has been an ongoing issue with Netflix being ridiculously bad on TiVo. Unbelievably, the interface / UI for Netflix has not been changed EVER that I know of...even with a whole new Series 4 "Premier" TiVo being released with "HD" interface. Its incredibly bad form on TiVos part (which is essentially a software company) not to improve the software on this. Perhaps Netflix is going by the wayside anyway since they are currently the poster child of poorly managed.

No one offers a BD streaming selection.netflix itself sux. The BD streaming selection is a joke, IMO.
Have you seen their stock price lately? Dropped about 67% in three months. They have made a LOT of mistakes in a small amount of time. They just need a viable competitor to swoop in and Netflix could very well be the next Blockbuster.Oh, and Netflix is still a 24 million strong empire. I would wager they're a long ways from going by the wayside...
The stock was way over valued. It was expected to drop at some point to more realistic levels which is now where it's at. Besides stock prices aren't necessarily driven by reality.Have you seen their stock price lately? Dropped about 67% in three months. They have made a LOT of mistakes in a small amount of time. So maybe the current price isn't reality?Besides stock prices aren't necessarily driven by reality.
I am not sure how you think TiVo could force Netflix to do anything. That aside many companies limit the amount they will spend on customer satisfaction (think cable companies) because it isn't profitable. So maybe the current price isn't reality?
The thing that people have to realize is that Tivo doesn't give a damn what it's customers think. How many times have we done these surveys asking the same questions over and over? They never change a damn thing. Blaming Netflix for the poor app is BS. Tivo owns the device and if Tivo cared about it's customers they would force Netflix to work with them and redesign an app. Tivo simply doesn't care.
Tivo has goals and they have nothing to do with customer satisfaction or innovation.
Because EVERY other device has been able to get a better Netflix interface on their devices. What is Tivo's excuse????I am not sure how you think TiVo could force Netflix to do anything. .
