Netflix API?

Has anyone explored this on TiVo, besides TiVo? I haven't looked too closely at what APIs are being provided by Netflix, but I'm wondering if "Play Instantly" isn't available. Just looking quickly at some of the apps, it appears that searching/browsing is something that should be easily incorporated, but if you can't actually play what you find, a user-developed app wouldn't do much good. Browse/Search and add to the Instant Queue may be ok, but that would still mean two apps to get the best of both worlds...

Hmm... A quick Google search doesn't look too promising...

Actually, there are a couple of websites that do a good job of incorporating the Netflix API into a service that are good companions to whatever else you use to actually watch Netflix. The problem is, Netflix's own front end (for DVDs, in particular) is geared toward steering you away from the really popular content and to the lesser-known stuff. So other sevices that can do a better job of highlighting new or expiring content are a good thing.
