Is anyone else in the NY city area having problems receiving channels 4-1 and 11-1? I had no problems with either of these channels until yesterday and now I get no signal on either of them. All other OTA channels come in fine. This goes for both my HD tivo and directv's dvr.

Lately I've found both 4-1/28 and 11-1/33 to have lower signal levels than usual, putting them sometimes borderline for reception. Right now I'm getting about a 65% signal level/79% signal quality on 11-1 and 57% signal level/59% signal quality for 4-1. Normally the signal level is closer to the low to mid 90% level. In both cases I do have 100% symbol quality, so the error correction info is sufficient, but the occasional breakup occurs when it isn't, and it's quite annoying.

I'd guess they might be doing some work on the combiner or antenna causing them to run at reduced power levels for some reason, though have no idea if that's really the case. I've been in the process of just switching season passes over to the cable signal version of the channels rather than enduring it anymore.

I'm still not getting either of these channels. They came on for a little while a couple of days ago, but are gone again. Am I the only one with this problem, or does no one watch these channels OTA? It's the only way to get The CW in HD with directv.

I would never shoo anyone away from TC (well, almost no one), but that answer is probably easily found at the AVS forums OTA HD reception forum. Operation at low power rarely affects anyone who was already getting reliable reception. You would have to be right on the edge for it to have an affect, and those living on the edge of reception do not get reliable reception at full power. Why not just call the stations' engineering departments directly? They are motivated to help, usually.
