A few weeks ago, I noticed under System Information, my Tivo Series 3 listed <Name this DVR on tivo [dot] com> for it's DVR name. I had named it months ago, but I checked online and it was still named. I re-submitted the form and forced my Tivo to connect to the service, but it still said <Name this DVR on tivo [dot] com>. Does anyone know how to correct this problem. My Tivo had software version 8.1 when I first noticed this, but now it has 9.1 and the issue has not been resolved.

It will be fixed with MRV as it is not needed now for anything.

Well I’m sorry but unless I’m mistaken it is needed for something like unbox! I also have the same issue with my S3 it reads the same thing for me to rename it on tivo com. I have done this several times to no avail I have movies waiting in cue on Amazon that can’t come down without knowing witch TiVo to go to. So unless I'm totally off this is necessary for me! Now if there’s another way to get my movies from unbox PLEASE! Let me know.

You are mistaken. Unbox works even though this message is displayed and you have named your Tivo at Tivo.com.

Correct, it is your actual TiVo and Unbox accounts that are linked, not TiVo itself. The no name issue has been reported before and as lessd mentioned, it will be taken care of when MRV is activated next month.

As long as your TiVo's are named at tivo.com and you've registered your TiVo's with Amazon you should be good to go. All you need to do is specify which TiVo you'd like your Unbox movie to be downloaded to when you order it:
