Only the original S3 will take an eSata drive that is not the official one, TivoHD and Premiere boxes will only accept the official unit. Had you said "for a savvy pc hardware and software user" that would open up some more options.

I have a sata drive in a case and when plugged in, it does not recognize it. I know this is a comman problem..is there a somewhat easy way to do it, without having a ton of experience>>
