My Tivo recording will not transfer over to my PC

I have a Tivo Premiere. I use "Tivo To Go" to transfer recordings onto my computer so that I can archive them.

I recorded some sports highlights a few days ago and I want to transfer this content onto my PC.

I opened up the Tivo To Go application. It does see the recording. However, when I click on it then it acts like it is going to transfer but then I see a yellow check mark and it just stops.

The only thing that I could think of was to reboot my Tivo. That did not fix my problem.

I cannot imagine that this would be copy protected. This is not a premium cable channel. And furthermore, I have Verizon Fios as my cable provider, and I do not think that they have ever blocked anything on me.

Help?

Thanks,

TC

Just as a trouble shooting measure, try disabling your firewall and antivirus software.

What firewall ap and antivirus software are you using? I use Windows firewall and AVG Free antivirus, and the Tivo software automatically configures them(if you let it) with no problem. It has issues with others though, especially some anti virus programs(Trend Micro).

Do you get a message by the "yellow check mark" about why the show did not transfer?
Thanks for the response.

I do not have any antivirus software on my computer(haven't gotten around to it yet).

I did turn off the firewall, but that did not help.

I checked the yellow flag....... it said "this program will be transferred."

As best I can tell, the Tivo To Go software acts like it has transferred over the entire file...... however, the file that it creates is very small and I am not able to open it with windows media player.

For what it's worth, I have transferred over other recordings in the past(same Tivo, same PC) and I did not have any problems whatsoever...... firewall or otherwise.

So is this a first time, one time thing? Have you tried any transfers since?
In the TiVo Desktop settings turn off use fast transfers
