I noticed after recording the PBS show "The War" that the last couple of times it did exactly the same thing on 2 show... made a 121 min. file, and several 6 min. ones. Did it on both shows. And since I've been home it has rebooted on cue about every 5-10 minutes even if I'm not doing anything with it. I've had this single tuner Series 2 unit for a couple of years. Maybe I should go buy one of the new dual tuners for $99?

Little update. First... forget the 121 and 6 min. stuff. If it's rebooting every 5-10 min. then that explains "MOST" of that. I assumed that as long as the TIVO is on it would keep rebooting but I've been watching regular tv now fine. This is outside the menu, watching recordings, etc. I thought it would keep rebooting as long as it had power on. OR maybe it is but I wouldn't know if I wasn't in the menu system??

Last update.. cleaned it up and manually deleted a lot of stuff and it's been ok for awhile now. Maybe the hdd is on the fritz?

YUP. I was reading the Hinsdale upgrade LINK and I'm not sure I want to go through a 100 steps. But if I want to maybe upgrade to a DT maybe I can just write down on a piece of paper what Season Passes I have, etc. Not sure what else I'd lose?? I'm trying to transfer over my recordings but it keeps bombing out... with invalid network address. The whole things sounds like it's about to blow up.
