My Preferences missing.

My wife told me we were picking up PAX from Mount Vernon, IL on channel 13 and she would like me to add it to the favorites list. Our unit is the Hughes 70 or 80 ?
hour DVR.
I went in to Messages & settings like the book said, but the My preferences wasn't listed there. Has something changed, or have I missed something?

That's a new one. Try a reboot. That seems to fix many weird things.
Were all of the other entries there in Messages & Setup?

As an aside, Pax no longer exists. The channel you're looking for is now called "I"
