"Highest score they had all year" -- Randy.

Too funny (though some of the law enforcement/prison guard types here might disagree with that humor).

Randy as a prison guard might be funny for a week or two.

Not bad. Better than last week. I'll bet we find out those "certificates" are completely worthless. I laughed a lot at Earl spraying the gang leader with water after arranging the too-small shirt.

So the warden is the husband of the governor, who has the ability to pardon Earl. That gives us a new avenue to get Earl out early. The get-out-of-jail-early certificates are another possible way they can get him out early instead of dragging out prison for two years. Even if they have no legal validity, maybe they'll be used in conjunction with the governor commuting his sentence, or something.

I thought some of the scenes with the 2 gang leaders kinda pushed the limits a bit. NTTAWWT, it was just surprising.

HYSTERICAL!!

Oh my gosh, this whole episode had me cracking up. I am looking forward to seeing Randy as a prison guard. "Walk away Ron!"

I agree that they'll likely not have Earl complete his full two year sentence - but, they're certainly setting up some comedy gold with the writing thus far. I can't wait to see more.

Yeah, I was surprised too, with the full-on kissing and making out. Don't see that on TV very often. :) I wish it was Joy who had gone to prison instead... ;)

I liked this episode a lot. I didn't like this show much mid-season last year, but it picked up again with the prison plot. This week was very good. I love the scenes with Randy. Although you really have to stretch believability to accept that they'd let the brother of a convict work as a guard at the prison that his brother is in... :)

I thought it was a very good episode. The reflex test Crab man did with Randy; had me howling.

Because that's the first time we've had to stretch believability with this show.

I was really dreading this whole "Earl-in-prison" storyline, but they're doing a really good job with it. They've really stepped it up a notch this season.

It's getting to be like "Quantum Leap" with Karma instead of time travel... like Karma is sending Earl to where he can help the most.

But will he ever get home?
