multiple To-Dos for MTV shows

WHY does my TiVo To Do list capture EVERY airing of MTV shows like "The Hills" and "Real World"? I want to record ONLY FIRST RUN, but every day there are loads more recordings set for MTV programs. Is it MTV not categorizing their endless airings as repeats??? Any workaround besides going in and canceling each "to do" one by one? (I like to keep a clean To Do list.)

Bad guide data (MTV's fault, not tivo's) if it doesn't flag it as a new or repeat (neither) it plays it safe and records it

big problem on comedy central too

one solution is to do manual recording when you know it's going to be on.
