Can you run more than one TiVo desktop on a single computer?

like we run serveral tivo desktop on diffrent computers and access them via tivo..

For a bastardized grouping since you cant group tivo files in now playing if you save the tivo files on a computer and push them back to tivo.

Good question...I was wondering the same thing...

For example...My mom's Tivo is on my brother's account and therefore is unable to see any movies I have downloaded and placed into a directory...

So if i was to install another version of Tivo Desktop and use her MAK within that install....would she then be able to see these and download these movies to her unit?

You can use pyTivo and MetaGenerator to enable transfer from PC to Tivo that can be grouped. I think that is what you were asking for.

You can't run more than one instance of TiVo Desktop on one machine. You could with pyTivo,. but then again, you wouldn't have to, because pyTivo lets you create as many top-level shares as you want, and lets you have folders within shares.
