I have a R10 model. I was wondering if multiple tv shows should be put in their own folders for better organization or thats not an option DirecTV Tivo's?

Folders are an option on the R10.....? Or are you asking if multiple of different shows in one folder?

"Folders" are NOT an option on the R10..

"Grouping" IS an option, represented by a folder ICON.

Basically the TiVo software Groups recordings based on the method they where record/and show. You have no control over what goes into what "group"

I'm just talking about Folders with multiple recordings of a show like the picture below that i saw online. Although I think that picture is for a Tivo2Series unit not from DirecTV.

As stated already, looks like that answer is no.

THAT you can do... that is called Grouping (see the text on the bottom of that screen shot).

If you have 6.x version software on your DTivo... then you can do it.
You enabled it by hitting either the #2 button while in NowPlaying
Or hit the enter button to bring up the option screen, where you can enable it.

BUT.... You don't get to pick what goes in what folder though.

"Recently deleted" is a new feature in the next update for Standalone Tivos. The screen shot above is from the website that reported the new feature, and is likely from a beta-tester. When you delete a program, it goes into the "Recently Deleted" folder until it is overwritten by a new recording.

Sweet. A recycle bin. Too bad just for SA's.

Just another feature that should have been included all along. I'm glad that w/TivoWebPlus, I can still do this. Delected Items retrieval and soft padding should have been included for years now.
