I recently fired up FiOS at my house with a HD TiVo and a DT Series2. From what I can tell all guide times are correct EXCEPT MTV. Not sure why this is or how to remedy it.

For example... records last 2-3 minutes of previous show and cuts recorded show off by same amount.

Another example... try recording the Real World and it records something totally different.

I'm running FiOS in Texas. The FiOS box with the attached DT Series2 has the correct schedule, while the TiVo HD and DT S2 guides from TiVo are incorrect.

About the cutting off the end -- your guide data and TiVo are just fine. The problem is that MTV is starting/ending its programming late. Some networks do this and IIRC MTV is particularly bad. This is 100% MTV's problem.

You can't fix MTV but you can get complete recordings by adding padding in the recording options of your recordings. There are options to start recording early or add time on to the end.

That solves issue 1 === what about 2? The FiOS SetTop box has a different schedule (read: correct schedule) for MTV.

With respect to recording the wrong problem entirely, is the show you're getting on MTV also? If not, that's a channel-changing issue. If it's the wrong MTV program, likely that is also MTV screwing with the schedule at the last minute so your TiVo isn't able to compensate. Lucky for you they re-run things a million times a day!

ETA: We both posted at the same time, sorry. I guess my suggestion on #2 misses the mark. You could set up a manual recording maybe? I'm not sure if there's a better answer but maybe someone else will be along soon with a suggestion.
