Move SD season passes to HD channels

I have around 80 season passes on my TiVo and nearly all of them are for SD channels. Now that I'm finally getting a new HDTV, is there any easy way to move these season passes to their HD channels instead or do I need to delete the SD season passes and create a new one on the HD channel?

I think I would try to do it all online in your account at tivo .com.

Pretty sure you can delete them "en masse" online. Then, even thou you would have to do each new pass, one at a time, you won't have that long pause after each one that you get when you do it on the Tivo.

Don't know how long it would take all that to download to the tivo though.

Post what you find out.
There's no painless way to do it, at least that I know of.

I would go through your Season Pass list one by one, and select "View Upcoming Episodes." Then pick an episode from the HD channel, and get a Season Pass. When you're done, go to the Season Pass Manager, and move each HD one to where the SD one is. Then leave the Season Pass Manager, and raise a few children while it's processing. Finally, go back in and delete the SD ones (this might better be done online if that's an option for you). You'll know which to delete and which to leave alone because there will be two of the ones to delete. Just be sure you delete the right one!

I just went through this exercise on one of my TiVos and I did it slightly differently. After I had the "Upcoming Episodes" list, I selected an SD episode, modify season pass, deleted season pass, returned to the list, selected an HD episode and created the new season pass. After I had done that for all of the ones I wanted to change, I did whatever moving of SPs I needed to do.
Thanks for taking the time to reply with your suggestions everyone. I really appreciate it.
New SP's are added to the bottom of the list, so if you start at the top of your SP list and move one by one down the list to find the upcoming eps and create new SP's for the HD channels, the new SP's will be in the correct order, but at the bottom of the list.
This is probably the fastest way to create the new SP's, but to cancel the old SP's and to reorder anything, it would probably be fastest to do it using the online SP manager.

I unchecked all the SD channels that were SPs in settings(Channels I Receive).

Will that remove the SPs? Or will the SPs just no longer record anything?

All I can tell you is what happened to me. In early March I switched from Frontier Fios to Comcast. All my HD SPs were auto magically changed from the Frontier channel number to the Comcast number, except for G4. Frontier did not have a G4HD channel so Tivo gave me the Comcast SD channel number for G4. I the unchecked the G4 SD channel in the channels I receive settings and the SP started recording the HD Channel.

Comcast in my area had dual feeds for most of their HD channels. The channels in the three digit area were eliminated in late July. One of my SPs recorded the old three digit channel. I then unchecked all the three digit HD channels and all the SPs started recording all my programs in their new four digit location.
What kind of box do you have? Every TiVo I've ever owned, the Season Passes are strictly limited to the channel they were started on; if that channel goes away, the pass stops recording anything.

I have a TivoHD.
