I'd agree on the "meh", except for Phil being successful at the tightrope walking. I like it when a show lets a character plagued by schemes that don't go right get away with one now and then.

The worst part of the episode was Mitchell's reaction to the dolphin story at the party. Although I can't say I saw it coming, it was too outlandish. Felt forced or unnatural, but I guess they were going for a twist on that scene it just didn't work for me.

Yeah..it was ok when Cam started getting worried about crying, but the over the top Mitchell part was dumb...and did he really need to spit out all that drool as he was leaving the room...yuck!!

"I guess Mitchell will just be a work friend"

I also didn't care for Mitchell's breakdown.
(I did laugh at the fact that Cameron was wearing those "inappropriate" shorts at the end.)

I did like Gloria, Jay, and the dog though.
("I'm sorry you had to see this.")
And Claire with the security guard.

And I thought that Phil's tightrope bit was going to be dumb but they really made it work.

Funny aside, they had the pixelated workout shorts on Cam again. But in the promos for the show they had the same scene without the pixelization.

I loved Luke taking the junk food upstairs with that quick look at towards his dad.

The best was the end with Phil walking the tightrope!

Alex and Haley talking about their being in the same math class. I can't remember the exact quotes but they were in the kitchen. Haley in it again and Alex in it ahead of schedule.

Gloria on the floor with the shoe in her mouth.

Agreed.

I did like old dude giving dog commands to hot wife.

Claire totally had that rent-a-cops number though. The cop was completely up her butt practically immediately after she pulled up to the curb. Even if it was for loading/unloading only, she didn't even give her enough time to load/unload anything before she started on her.

And cuffs? Really? Yeah, some Paul Blart wannabe tries to put cuffs on me and there's going to be a problem.

Really? That was my favorite part! The actor did such a great job with it bubbling up then spilling over and Cam suddenly turning into the straight man and trying to calm him down was great. Once they went outside and were rolling in the ocean it lost me, but during the story and while they were still inside was great. I burst out laughing when Mitchell's sobbing started.

This one had some moments. I really enjoyed the opening scene where Manny yells, "ANSWER THE QUESTION, JAY!!"

I've been to many airports where they have cops basically doing exactly this. Perhaps even more out of control.

Yeah, but at least those are actual cops (at least they are in the NYC area airports), not mall cops.

I think the implication was that the school parking lady was a real cop. Maybe I misunderstood...

Claire called her a rent-a-cop, and the uniform didn't look like a real cop's uniform.

But she did give her a ticket, which I guess would have to make her a real cop, unless it's like a school-equivalent of an HOA (PTA?) ticket or something.

The Cam and Mitchell subplot was just a forced way to get them to eat the doggie cupcakes at the end. Everything about their part of the half hour was ffwd-worthy.

Phil was cool. I kept expecting him to fall off the tightrope and half kill himself but I'm glad they let him make it all the way. I just know if I came home and found my father tightrope walking across the front wall, I'd bury myself under the biggest rock I could find and change my last name.

I would liken it to the cops on university campuses. They can give parking tickets as well.

Best part for me was the dog. First when they panned down to him in the shower. And then after Gloria dropped the shoe from her mouth, they zoomed in on the dog and he looks into the camera with a "WTH" look on his face. Funnier than any look Lily 1.0 ever gave.

The mom said something like "You'll have the class back to yourself soon enough..."
(Implying that the dumber older girl would have to retake the class yet again.)

I love how the dog spiked the camera in that scene with Gloria, right as they were going to commercial.

Did anyone else notice Cam's shirt was wet almost up to his chest when he first got in the water before they hugged and was still in the shallow water ?

I liked when Cam and Mitchell were eating the doggie cupcakes.
