Had something weird happen to my Moca network today and it's fine now but I have a question.
I disconnected my Tivos today to add tuning adapters (long ago Spectrum told me to turn them in because I switched off my grandfathered plan on TWC to Spectrum, but they told me wrong and they just figured this out now for some reason. They said not getting a few channels was a cablecard problem). Anyway, I was having problems with my Moca network after setting up the tuning adapters (I know how to use a splitter when you're using moca with a tuning adapter). The bridge Bolt that has one tuning adapter I set up as the bridge with no problem. The client Roamio would not connect no matter what, with the tuning adapter and also without. Since the Mini actually uses a tuner from the Roamio, I went to check the mini to see if at least I could watch TV with it. I could, but I couldn't connect via moca to the network. Left the room for a few minutes, went back in to turn the TV with the mini off and I saw that it was now connected via Moca, even though I hadn't done anything. Went to check the Roamio and it was also connected. I had not added the tuning adapter back to that Tivo. Streaming apps worked on both.
My question is this: any idea why there was a long delay (maybe an hour) in getting the moca network going? The network was fine this whole time: no outage or anything. Any reason I shouldn't try the adapter on the client now that the network is back on? Kind of afraid I'll screw it up again.
