Missed The Office due to "no longer in the program guide"

Anyone else have this happen? The Office didn't record last night because "it was no longer in the program guide". WTH? It sure as heck showed up in the guide when I noticed it wasn't recording.

I know they're messing with some guide data lately. But this was an OTA channel and it was very clearly in the guide.

crazy thing happened with me last nite with scrubs on my vip722 - i recorded the office and scrubs, but the recording labeled the office was the scrubs episode and vice versa. i wonder if nbc made a late change and switched the airing order, but the guide data didn't catch it?

hmmmm....

Is your Season Pass set to the channel it was on i the guide?

When this has happened to me, it's been a case of where the channel was moved.
The schedule did change due to President Bush's speech last night. My recording of The Office is mostly President Bush, with about two minutes of The Office at the end.
W's speech may have been the problem. Let's hope it's not some new issue with guide data right at the start of the new season.
It moved from 9 to 9:30 due to the President's address. My HR20 picked up the change and recorded The Office in its' entirety.
My DirecTiVo did not record The Office either.

I could see it in the program guide as starting at 9:30 (after the dubya speech at 9), but my TiVo was telling me "did not record because it was no longer in the program guide." WTF? I was looking at it and there it was!

I'm glad it was a repeat, but still. I depend on TiVo to record my SP shows.

Well, that alone might make it a little easier for me to pick up the phone and call retention. Score one for the HR20.
While I don't have D* Tivo, I did have an experience with this last night.

I knew the president was going to speak at 9, so I checked the program guide on my TivoHD. It had no mention of the speech, and Office scheduled for 9, Scrubs at 9:30.

I forced a call to TiVo, and it spent about 15 minutes "loading data". A little while later, I checked the guide and it DID have updated information about the speech -- CBS and ABC running about 20 minutes worth of speech coverage, and NBC with 30 min, followed by The Office. As a result, my recording of Office ended up fine, beginning after the speech.

I know this speech had been planned for several days, however I suppose it depends on when the TiVo makes it's update which would have determined if the guide knew that some shows would be pre-empted/canceled/delayed.
FWIW, The Office is about to be syndicated and shown on one of the cable channels (TBS?), if it hasn't already started up. You should be able to pick up the shows you missed when they air again.
