I thought surely she would win a Golden Globe. But "Shogun" was getting everything.
Anna Sawai has a lock on this category. She won the Emmy, and now this. No one was beating her this season. Anyone who watched Shogun knew this was hers. Performance for the ages.

If I had to guess, Keri Russell was next. But you never know with the GG voters.

Hell, they'll probably give Anna an Oscar!

;)

The main character on "Poppa's House" had a nightmare where his podcast co-host was the woman from "Misery". I saw that movie. Kathy Bates won an Oscar, of course, but it was well deserved. She was so kind and caring, and everything else.

I SAID SHE WAS KIND AND CARING!

I enjoyed Matlock in this episode as usual. I don't know whether anything made any sense, but at least it appears progress is being made toward her getting the information she needs. I'm really glad she can now trust Olympia. They were good together. How in the world can she be drunk and think of the solution?

I figured Matlock had arranged to drink something non-alcoholic so she would catch Olympia off guard, but it wasn't her turn to have a brilliant idea.

I don't like that other lawyer. It is a lawyer, right? How was she in charge and not Olympia?

That was a close one. But of course Alfie has another grandfather.

Another close call. And Sarah has turned even nastier. She was just annoying before but now ...

Those people were in too good a shape to be in a "nursing home". That's assisted living.

Sarah was so compassionate, which was unexpected, when that one woman had her episode. I thought she was an employee.

Wow. They just keep finding ways to scare us.

Amazing that Matlock's husband was able to go all the way to Savannah and pose as a co-worker. I wonder how she got in touch with him?

At least they found a way to get Sarah to back off. That kept becoming more of a problem.

This series probably should have been a 4 part mini-series. First couple eps were good and then it just fizzled out and dragged on. We went from "wanting to watch it" to "not really interested."
Typical of network dramas where there is a continuing story. Having gotten used to streaming where seasons are 8-12 episodes (fewer for British), each one needs to move things along to be interesting. With network TV's number of episodes, there always has been a lot of filler turning many shows that start off promising into slogs.

That was all really amazing. The shredding room was moved. How they found out, I don't know. I do think it's a shame Olympia is the one she's going after. I like how they revealed it.

I'm so glad the bad guys almost got what was coming to them, but the outcome wasn't what we all hoped for.

It took me a minute but I figured out she was the flight attendant on Airplane!
I knew right away. She hasn‘t changed all that much, IMO. I’m glad they added her to the mix.

The last episode was pretty good and I’m glad they wrapped up that beverage case. I love, love, love the actress who plays Mrs. Belvin.

They really kept the drama going. Hard to believe they finally got the case finished.

If Matlock was 38 in 1981, that makes her 85 now, not 75. How could they make such a mistake?
