Since the upgrade was done automatically on Friday night, the S3 has been locking up during HD recording and my receiver reports "No Signal."

This happended last night while recording "Desperate Housewives" and simulateously watching it time shifted. It also happened twice this evening as well while recording HD and watching a different pre-recorded HD program.

It appears that its losing the cable signal. The channels it has been on when signal goes out are not the premium Comcast channels either.

Its connected to my receiver via HDMI.

Unfortunately there is no way to roll back the software nor did I request to be an early "beta tester." I would have preferred for the bugs to be worked out.

If the lockups continue, I'll have to take the unit offline until they come out with a fix.

Unreliability is the worst thing that can happen to a DVR. This update was clearly not ready for rollout.

Has there been any rain? I had the exact opposite thing hapen on Cox. We had tons of rain and the analog/digital channels were going out, but the HD channels were great.

Just a suggestion.
