Wow no thread yet.

I thought it was the best one of the season so far and we really see Pete come into character. His wife, her family and his family are going to be a good story line.

Helen's son walking into the bathroom like that? And then asking Betty for a lock of her hair and her giving it to him!?! That kid is going to wearing womens skin as clothes in the future.

That wouldn't have happened in the projects! That kid would have gotten the ass whuppin of the year instead of a lock of hair.

Don's ideas really were crappy. He should have listened to Pete. Pete's an arrogant jerk but Don's an even bigger arrogant jerk.
This is hands down my favorite new summer show. I don't know what the hell it's doing on AMC of all places, though. I hope it doesn't languish and die there.
I'm still not sure about this show - am I watching it because its good or because its supposed to be good (a la studio 60).
I'm still missing the wit that was there in the pilot. The nostalgia is very interesting, but like dcehl I'm getting kind of a "Studio 60" vibe in regards to everything else.
Were we supposed to take that final scene of Pete looking out onto Manhattan as their new neighbors talk about his ancestors as him realizing he was 'on top of the world', and understanding that he didn't get fired because of who his family was?
