Wonder what Drapper/Whitman could be charge with in the military? Would that be considered desertion, or fraud in switching his identity?

impersonating an officer... ?

Perhaps the military would seek to suppress the story -- just to hide their error? What I don't understand is how Draper's (not Whitman's) family never thought to seek him out.

Can't believe this show is going to be gone after next week. I hope it is not a year before it comes back.

I think when Don took the guys identity it was just easy for him to disappear.

And hey it is 2007 why can't my office parties be like that?

I just view Don as taking over "real Don's identity" because he hated Dick Whitman so much, and having seen what he'd been through, I can't blame him.

I love how this show is wrapping up things from episode #1. I remember early on a scene where Don was staring at his Purple Heart and acting strange. Now we know. Makes me want to rewatch the series.

Is it correct to assume that the actress playing Peggy is wearing a fat suit?

The name of the ad agency is Sterling Cooper but Cooper is the senior partner. Does that make sense?

Yes, Peggy is definitely wearing fat makeup.

This episode was yet another example of what an amazing actor Jon Hamm (Draper) is.

He actually 'earned' that Purple Heart, it just doesn't have his name on it.
I thought maybe that Whitman and Draper were preparing the 4077th?

Hamm is an amazing actor. The scene where Pete was first in Don's office trying to blackmail him, Don didn't seem to care at all. But as soon as Pete walked out of the room, you could just watch Don's face change, and watch the range of emotions he was going through. It's really great to see this level of quality on TV. I'm going to miss this show while it's gone. I hope it comes back too.

I really like this show but I just can't believe that Don would be willing to abandon his son at the drop of a hat.

Why not? It would fit in with his history. And he hasn't shown himself to be the type of guy to form close personal ties. Men abandon their kids every day.

Do you think they were preparing the 4077th? It looked like it was filmed at the same Movie Ranch.

love the show, used to love Draper. Now find myself terribly conflicted. He's an a-hole. they have really brought a new depth to the character and pulled a fast 180 IMO. I will be sad to see tomorrow's ep be the last one for a while. Is AMC available in HD?
