Hopefully it's not Stretch-O-Vision
It's TNT, why wouldn't it be?

Very unlikely that it would be anything but the theatrical.

Don't put yourself through the agony of five minute commercial breaks every 15 minutes. It's a 3 hour movie. Even with what they'll cut "for time", that means it will be four hours long (Fellowship being the shortest), one hour of which will be commercials.

Rent it.

HD on TNT is basically worthless anyway. They show 1.85:1 widescreen stuff in 4x3 most of the time, and they show 2.35:1 either in 1.85:1 or 4x3 as well. Plus, the HD quality is even worse than most other channels, at least on my Comcast feed. I'll just watch my extended version DVDs instead, thanks.

Where can we rent it in HD again ?
I suppose, this is the only place for that. If you don't mind sitting through an hour of commercials and scenes being cut or shortened for time here and there. Not to mention what has already been said about TNT's trackrecord of HD programming.
