Yes, you lost it since you went to v21 (shown in system Information), you also lost PC-to-Tivo transfers.
Since Series 3 is no longer supported by Tivo, it will not show @ online.tivo.com.

For at least PC -> TiVo box transfers, it was explained that this wasn't really a conscious decision as vs. something that resulted.
Bullsh*t

If they 'removed' the feature 'by accident', why has it not returned in the MANY UI te4 updates? I hear an excuse, doesn't anyone else?

My understanding from what was said is that the feature wasn't removed by accident, but rather wasn't added/ported into the new user interface that was being built. In discussion here at the time (when Hydra was going mainstream), TiVo thru TiVo_Ted said that he would look into it (or words to that effect) but noted that it was not a priority item.

TiVo didn't add the transfer features to Hydra because their customers do not want it; it competes with those companies other offerings.

Edit: To clarify for whomever didn't pick up what I was putting down, which is that TiVo's customers are the cable providers.

I dont agree. It was an original feature. Companie dont just remove features without some notice. Tivo is the only one

it is part of a bigger picture. Transfers, thumbs, web season passes. Live guide

removed features. No notice

how does xfers compete with other features? I dont see it. Can you explain it?

I'm glad to hear that, I wasn't sure.

I think they do that any time they think it can be done without major pushback. You know, like with Classic Coca Cola?

Yes, bad example. Look what happenned in that case. Coca Cola NEW failed miserably, coke was forced to go back to coke classic. There WAS major pushback, pepsi took over more than a 65% share before coke new was removed. Coke new was relegated to a new 'debut' this month as a tv show 'stranger things' retro item addon

Strange thing is I started liking Coke Classic a lot more after it was gone and came back.o_O

When Tivo stops supporting Roamio or forces us to the Hydra operating system and they haven't restored all the transfer features to Hydra then I'll cancel my subscription to TIVO. Might as well use a box provided by my cable (FIOS) provider. I'll pick up on demand plus the ability to to see shows recorded on other FIOS boxes in my house.

Unfortunately, for those of us with lifetime subs "cancelling" doesn't offer much satisfaction! Actually I bought my refurbished Roamio base model in 2013 for only $300 including the lifetime sub and it is still working fine, although my TA is a PITA. So even if TiVo queers the deal somehow I can walk away feeling OK. (I've had contingency plans that don't require TiVo for quite a while now, and the more recent TiVo offerings are not attractive for the cost, to me.)
