VERY interesting! Someone has transcribed the latest whispers. Some of the transcribed whispers were posted to this board earlier, but these latest ones are even more provacative. Apparently the whispers were overlapped on the left, center, and right audio channels making them difficult to hear. Below you'll see that they have been separated.

What, no new theories? No comments? Who are these people whispering? Are they the Others?

Most interesting to me were the comments about being in someone else's dream.

Also, the repeated comments about looking into someone's eyes, since eyes have been a very important part of the show--from the openings on people's eyes, to locke's black/white eyes, to the found glass eye... Perhaps looking into the eyes can tell you if someone is good or bad or sick or well?

Yeah, they have some sound bites from the character's flashback scenes mixed in there. "His sis" and "Dying sucks" are from a Shannon/Boone flashback. "It'll come back around" is from the Sawyer/Duckett flashback.

Don't know what that means...

It's almost like the whispers aren't whispers but everyone is temporarily telepathically linked for a few seconds and hearing everyone elses thoughts. Could it be one group of others or just one of the others are telepathic and when they're near they act like a network hub and broadcast everyones thoughts to everyone else?

Maybe the dead folks are not dead. It sounds to me like Boone is waiting for Shannon to come to him via death.

Walt is on the computer...maybe he, Boone, Shannon, Duckett, Ethan, Nathan, Peace Corps Dude, and the others are on another level? Maybe nobody dies, they just go to a different plane...

The ad's never really say "Watch for so and so to die", they say "Who will be lost forever?".

A virtual person leaves no footprints.

This absolutely has to be some sort of nanotechnology. That is the only thing plausible that comes to mind. Think of it: It theoretically can do everything that the black smoke already does. Nanites can possibly levitate, project sound, project images...that's what I thought of immediately once I saw images projected that this has to be nanotechnology.

Sounds like a lot of the "new" whispers made their debut in this episode...so, are we hearing these "new" whispers, the "it's the eyes", "bossy eh missy", "i know it all"--which seem out of place with the more familiar whispers which seem to be more conversational--are these new ones appearing because they occur in the proximaty to Walt, who is supposedly in the hands of the "others" or is it just a "natural" progression of the whispers?

a few lines of note: "thousand miles"--the distance they are off course, according to the pilot. "is she 815?" --is she a threat, or is she one of the survivors we've been monitoring (from flight 815)? and "antenna" (if that's indeed what it says...it needs a little more work to confirm...If it's "10 out of 10", what could that mean? Rating her appearance (is she a 10?) or, is she #10 out of ten.

Okay at Tabbyrasa's request here's an intial transcript for the scene in 'Special' where the polar bear is attacking Walt. Please note that some of these lines will change in the final draft and that some of the growls have overlapping voices, but because the audio clip was so long I didn't transcribe all the voices and mostly transcribed one voice per growl.

I think the biggest clue out of this transcript is that whoever is speaking wanted to take Walt as early on as this episode. I wasn't reading the boards at that time so i'm not sure if people were talking about the others taking Walt as early as episode 14. No wonder they really hid the voices deep in the audio track!

Also, there's multiple voices and conversation going on, some adults, some children, and similar to the monster transcript, there might be some sort of countdown going on '3 more minutes'
