I am getting ready to upgrade my Roamio pro from it's original 3tb drive to 6tb wd red drive. Looking for some advice from people that have done this. I have Mfstools 3.3 installed in parallels on my Mac and it seems to work fine I also have a standalone dock. The drive is about 40% full would it be faster to use the dock to clone the drive and then do the mfsadd and mfsaddflx using MFstools or to do the entire process using Mfstools?
The drives will be connected using usb 3.0.

I would use the mfscopy command first, which will keep everything including your recordings and settings while expanding it to 4TB. Then a single mfsadd will take it up to 6TB. Since you're only at 40% it should also be faster than a full clone using a dock.

If you don't want to keep your settings and recordings and start fresh, the MFSR method is the most fastest (inside of 30 min.)

MFSTools does take many hours to overnight to complete.
