Load failure after phone call - How to fix?

I had a hard drive go bad on me in Hughes GXCEBOT Series 1 so I removed the drive and did a backup using mfstools. I restored the backup to a new HDD and the tivo works but when it calls up and receives data, it always stops after the phone call when it is loading the data. I'm assuming that part of the data from my backup was corrupt due to the failing hard drive. Is there anyway to get around this?
