I want to find this interesting, I like weird and odd shows. However I find it hard to stay engaged in a positive way watching this. Anyone else watching this?
I've seen the 3 that have aired so far. I don't think going back for a 4th hour is happening.
It's weird in a way that is intriguing, but it's written like the Scott character is supposed to be charismatic, but the material in the scenes we've seen from him are anything but. In fact how Lisey married this traumatized human who hurts himself and speaks like a child makes both of them unlikable in a way I don't really care about what's happening to them and around them. The antagonist is another angry, child like, obsessed character (reminds me of an adult version of Harold Lauder from The Stand). The idea of a writer willing his imagination world to life sounds intriguing, but the characters are either boring or unlikable and sometimes a combination of both.
As I mentioned in another thread, King wrote the scripts for this and if you look at his record as a script writer, it's bad. Pretty much everything he's written has sucked large. Despite the great cast, I probably won't even bother with this.
i'm sad to hear it is not being well-received. I cannot access the airings myself, so i only have the screen grabs and positive feedback King himself retweets. I must say, i absolutely enjoying reading the novel. Sometimes things just do not make the transition well from one medium to another.
