What are the thoughts on the new partner?

I liked the girl they had her with, but this new one seems okay, too. I like that they've switched it up on us and gotten a partner who's just as much trouble as whatsisname. We might see some maturation of his character, which would be nice.

I liked her... She somehow seems more believable to me as a new cop...

Maybe I just still saw the young and uncertain role she played on "Conviction"

EDIT 1: Just looked up the name of the previous actress: Julianne Nicholson

So why was she let go? NBC's decision? Or Julianne's?

EDIT 2: Answered my own question... From wikipedia:

At the end of season six ("Renewal") Wheeler tells Logan that she is going over to Europe to teach American police procedure to European police officers. This is because Julianne Nicholson's pregnancy will require her to leave the show temporarily for maternity leave. Her temporary replacement will be Det. Nola Falacci Alicia Witt, when the show returns for its seventh season.

I like Alicia Witt, but she doesn't strike me as being as obnoxious as everybody on the show says she is...maybe she's just too nice for the character?
