I recently cut my Comcast cable, so the need to transfer my stuff to my Windows 10 PC arose. I had used kmttg plenty in the past successfully, though I don't use it very often. So I fired it up, got the Now Playing List to show up and started transferring some shows overnight. I checked the next morning. Some shows transferred. Some did not. Not atypical. Now, no matter what I do, I can not get the Now Playing List to show up. I have Google Fiber. kmttg can auto-detect the TiVo just fine. It just errors out after a minute on the Now Playing List complaining about checking the MAK and IP settings (which I have). Nothing has changed. I also tried putting kmttg on a macbook and it gives the same error. The MAK matches. The IP address is correct. I've tried changing the IP address manually on the TiVo to a few different numbers. Same problem. I tried connecting the TiVo directly to the router. Same problem. I have never used pytivo before, but it detects the TiVo just fine but spins trying to get the Now Playing List. I have rebooted TiVo/router multiple times. Did something get borked up on my TiVo during a file transfer? Some crappy Java update? I changed out the power supply a few months ago because it went bad, but it has been fine. Is it because I took the cable cards out or disconnected the coax? It would be nice to fix this problem, but if anyone has a workaround for getting the shows off that would be good too? It has an external 1TB hard drive attached to it.
