kmttg hangs on startup

Trying to get kmttg running on my Manjaro Linux machine. Got the correct version of Java installed and it starts up and gets through the point of writing the TSN to the config.ini file and then hangs.

None of the buttons work, it is open to the files tab and the only way to shut it down is to force close it from the OS.

Any suggestions on what to look at for issues?
