Kaon cable box, from Smallworld media (Wightcable North)

Smallworld media ( used to be Wightcable North, covering the North of England and West of Scotland) are changing their stb from pace 1000 to this new KAON cable box. I would like to move my tv, my broadnband is with them right now, to Smallworld Media from SKY as their total bundle price gives me much better broadband speeds, telephone etc for a good price.

My question is, does anybody know if there is a code to allow a TIVO to control this box, as I could not be without my TIVO. TIVO controlled the old Pace 1000 box without difficulty, but when I spoke to TIVO customer services a few weeks back they had no listing for this receiver.

I was wondering if there was a code for another stb that works with the KAOn stb. Smallworld don`t seem to have much technical information about the receiver. I was hoping that there is a Smallworld TIVO user on the forum that has found some solution.

Any ideas that anyone has as to a way forward, would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks

Duncan

I think Smallworld may live up to their name and you are possibly the only one with this cable box.

Firstly what channel lineup do they have? If its not the same as Sky or Virgin Media or Home Choice then you are stuffed for Tivo use.

Controlling the box can be overcome if you can lend your remote to a forum member with a Pronto remote and they can capture the IR codes for you and send them to our moderator GarySargent to send to Tivo in the US to add to the database.

But if SmallWorld have a channel lineup and channel numbers no one else has it isn't even worth worrying about the remote control problem.
