I was using a Premiere and a Roamio in my bedroom. Dont ask why...I dont know. Anyway I cancelled service on the unit and got a $99 lifetime offer. Think theyll go any lower?
It can be faster, just go to the Tivo's network settings and do a few Tivo service connections.24-48 hrs. my first lifetime box!!!
Thanks! It took one connection and now I have lifetime. Pretty cool.It can be faster, just go to the Tivo's network settings and do a few Tivo service connections.
The Haxe rewrite made it significantly better, but the HD menus are still just a bit too much for the average Premiere to really keep up with. SD menus are the way to go if you don't really use streaming features. Now, I could only get the Series 3 style menus (with all the gaudy animations) into the Premiere, I'd be set. Some time has passed and I can gladly say this old Premiere has not skipped a beat since switching menus. I was worried about the hard drive because of the way it was acting. I am now confident this unit has some life left in it.
Sorry not really possible.Has anyone ever "souped up" a Tivo? It is so common with computers and phones yet I never hear of a Premiere chip being replaced to speed it up. Then again I dont go to the developers forum at all.
