My TCD849000 stopped pulling in any OTA signals a few days ago. This Bolt was the one I received to replace my original Sony Series 1 TiVo (circa 2001) when they offered the promo because they weren't able to continue providing service to the Series 1's back in 2016. (I had to pay a little something for that new replacement bolt, offset by TiVo's $75 gift card, but received a free Lifetime transfer that time as well!)

So, here we go again... still using the same Lifetime from 2001 on a (refurbished) box received in 2021! Based on what I've been reading here, I thought they'd offer me the Edge instead, but what I think was the kicker was that I was using mine for OTA.

I don't have to return the old TiVo, either!

I just always have had Lifetime on all my boxes, and I made sure that, with paying the $199 for the refurbished box, that the Lifetime would be transferred over for $0, and they agreed to it.

I DID have to go through all the troubleshooting steps with the tech support on the phone before they agreed to it... this part took the longest.
