Jake In Progress is coming back...

Actually, ABC announced it would be back at midseason when they unveiled the 2005-2006 season schedule during last summer's seasonal hiatus. Most people were no less surprised than you at the time, I expect, none moreso than John Stamos, who I believe had planned to join the cast of ER with the expected nonrenewal of Jake.

I love this show and I'm looking forward to its return. I'm also glad they found a companion show to go with it, so they don't need to double up on the episodes.

i hate to admit, i'm going to have to watch the first few episodes. two words.........charlotte ross!!!!!!

I wonder if he's back this time around? I know his role (as the office assistant to the "Jake" character) was a recurring one, but I don't know how far.
