I have a new TiVo DVR series 2, wireless, a iBook G4, (updated) I downloaded the TiVo desktop, have the icon but clicking does nothing. The Genius at the Apple store fixed some permissions, and TiVo cust sx only help was the geek squad for $50 .

Should I hook the ethernet wire directly to the TiVo?
any help for this newbie is appreciated.

The genius already tried that, me too after reading your post. I click on the TiVo icon and nothing happens, will NOT open,no desktop,nothing.
