Heh. Probably cost more than that to ship it. It just seems weird to put it out with the trash. Maybe I'll hang on to it and pick up a hard drive at some point.

Do you have other s2's?? keep it for spare parts in case a fan dies or something

at *least* bring it to an electronics recycler. Throwing away electronics is bad.

Well, as it turns out, I am sending it back to TiVo. When I called to cancel service on it, I mentioned that I was never able to speak to a tech support person because I hung up after 45 minutes BOTH times I called. The guy noticed I had four TiVos and told me to send it back and he would send me a Dual Tuner replacement. Pretty nice considering the dead one was 13 months old and out of warranty. I know people have sometimes had difficulty with Customer Service, but in this case, they obviously went the extra yard. Ask for Fernando when you call!
