My Roamio has been showing a "searching for a signal V52" message. It had been working fine so I assumed the problem was comcast. They sent a tech who said my cable card was bad, but he didn't have one and couldn't get one that day. I went to the comcast store and got a new cable card today. After spending a lot of time on the phone with comcast, I'm still getting the same error message. She told me she thought I wasn't getting a signal in that room and she was going to send someone out to look at it.
I swapped that Tivo with another one and it works fine on the cable that supposedly had no signal. So I guess the problem is with my Tivo. Does that mean I have a bad tuner? Is there any easy fix for this or does it mean I have to replace the Tivo? I've had tivos for 20+ years and haven't had many problems - the problem is always Comcast, so I'm not sure what to do.
