I searched through a few hundred thread titles about remotes (and read quite a few) and didn't see anything like this, so please forgive me if I somehow missed it.

We bought a Harmony from Best Buy to "test" it to see if we liked it (sorry, can't recall which # it is--I think 659), knowing that we would have 30 days to return it. We programmed it and are now in love with it...but have decided to upgrade to a newer model (676) because we have a $50 rebate on it (plus a $25 GC at amazon). So, what I'm wondering is...is it possible to quickly and easily switch our old 659 programming to the new 676 programming? My harmony login account knows we have a 659, but all the programming will be the same for the new one. Can I just plug in the new remote and upload all the information or will I have to program everything again?

Hmmm, I don't recall telling the website which remote I had (although I could have and just don't remember)...I assumed it was done during the setup?!?

Anyone else do this?

Thanks so much! And I have to say I'm an idiot--I totallydidn't even think to check their website! D'oh! I just immediately came here! I guess that says something about TCF though!

Update

We got the new remote and it wasn't as easy as we imagined. Even though the CD had the same software, it had to uninstall and reinstall everything from scratch, then update from the website after that. But regardless, this remote is much better than the initial one we had.
