IRB (rugby) World Cup
The IRB World Cup, rugby union's championship, starts Friday 9/6/07.
If you are fortunate enough to have Setanta Sports (on DirecTV) you can watch the rugby World Cup matches live. The various pay per view and on demand offerings from the cable companies also are providing live coverage.
If you don't mind watching a couple of days late, Versus is showing the matches:

The USA national team (the Eagles) is playing, but don't expect them to advance beyond the group stage. In fact they will be fortunate if they can avoiding getting completely shut out.
