Internet Connection

I have been having the problem for at least three weeks and have spopen to Tivo support at least a dozen times. I have a Netgear WNDR3400 wireless router connected by ethernet cable and a brand new Tivo adapter (Tivo sent it to me yesterday). Sometimes I can connect to the internet and sometimes I can. When I do, I lose the connection within a day. When I try to reconnect, it fails. At the same time, I am using a wireless laptop in teh same room (about ten feet from the Tivo) and it connects and stays connected.
Anyone have any suggestions? Tivo Customer Support has been great but none of their solutions have worked. I would get a new router if it weren't for the fact that my laptop is working perfectly. If I do net another router, what would you recommend?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a DHCP reservation on the router or are you using a static IP on the Tivo? If you're using DHCP, what lease time do you have specified?

Is it safe to assume that the ethernet connection is from your modem to the router?

Have you done the adaptor setup by hooking it directly to PC?

If not, give it a try. - Worked for me with WNDR4000 and N adaptor.
