I have two Tivos set up through a wireless network. Both Tivos use the Linksys B wireless adaptor that is recommended and they talk to my Linksys Wireless G Router. Often I have to go to the Tivos and do a reboot to get the Tivos to recognize my network. They will be working just fine and then when I check the settings I find that they, for some reason, have lost the connection. It is not that this happens to both Tivos at the same time. One might be fine while the other stops working, etc. I realize this issue has been posted on several threads, but I have not seen a solution or explaination beyond how to get the connection going again(unplugging the Tivos, etc.). Any thoughts about how to get this to stop happening? And also, why it happens?

Got any other wireless devices? Sources of disturbance (phones, microwave, neighbors' networks?) Try a different channel. Also test your adapters with laptops/PCs to confirm you have adequate signal strength.

Your router may be having DHCP issues as well. Try rebooting only the router.

Some/all of this may shed some more light.

Thanks for the response. I have switched all my cordless phones to the 5.8 gigahertz variety. My neighbor's wireless is on a different channel than mine and the microwave is pretty far away from the Tivos. Interesting is that I never have this problem with my laptops or computers on the wireless. Just the Tivos.

I can confirm this issus since I am experiencing the same. I've removed the firewall on my computer, rebooted the wireless router and TiVo. I never experience wireless issues with my laptop, and when the adapter is working, it picks up my network and several others in the complex with at minimum 70% signal strength.

I have one wireless adapter that works 100% on both units. I only experience this issue with the 2nd adapter. They are 2 different adapters (WUSB11 ver 2.8 - working, WUSB11 ver 2.6 - non working).

Are both your adapters the same?
