instantcake and 120gb hdd

ok my tivo hdd (DTV RCA80) died on me and i have an extra 120gb laying around, i had installed instantcake on my new hdd, did i need to remformat it or something b/c i installed everything was good, and at the end it stated i only have 30hrs (more 29), and on my tivo it stated i have variable upto 29hrs, how can i fix this or what did i do wrong, or do i just do a delete and clear everything from my tivo and once its done it should reconize, or should it automatically, thankyou
