My beloved TIVO seems to be a bit off colour. A planned recording of Yes Prime Minister turned out to be some silly make up programme. I sometimes notice that when changing channel ie from 102 to 301 it repeats the last digit ie 1 and tries to change to that. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this? Cheers

I think this happens occasioanally, whatever platform (freeview, sky, cable, etc.) you have. It's accepted as just "one of those things".

If it's happening more often than very occasionally then I would say that you do have a problem.

First thing I would suggest is to double-check the position of the 'wands' if you use them. I have noticed, from experience, that if they are mis-aligned by even the smallest amount, channel changes can be very erratic.

If you don't use the wands (ie have set it up to use the 'Front IR Blaster' in Guided Setup) then I might suspect stray IR from another remote control. Either that or possibly bright sun-light; assuming you've had some recently

I'm sure someone else will be along shortly with some other (possibly more accurate) suggestions

Right got my Tivo to become more accurate but now my programme guide is very limited showing only terrestial and radio. How do I get the full programme guide to load? I subscribe to full Sky package. Thanks

Are the visible channels marked as favourites?

Check that you haven't set the guide to show only favourite channels.

Another possibility is that it's the age-old problem of changing from one kind of set-up to another - there's a glitch that requires you to repeat guided set-up as if for terrestrial channels only to sort of clear the memory, then repeat it yet again for your actual set-up to install the channels you actuallly receive. If you see what I mean...

If you're using a Sky box, get a Sky EYe - much more reliable than those IR thingies
