What model drive will you be using? The max is 2TB.

Thank you. I'll be using the 1TB disk .... and was surprised to see the top end model at 10TB

The max the Series 3 can use is 2TB, while Series 4 and above can use up to 8TB.

Myself, Roamio has a 4TB Red and I only have it filled to about 35%, OTA.

2. Unit MUST have Lifetime Tivo service activated.
3. Unit must have the power supply capacitors replaced most recently.

So sorry for the 3 posts. I wasn't sure if these forums are silo'd so that folks in one section don't see posts in another. I read in Reddit that people had made posts in different sections of this forum. Now I know!

Thanks for your reply. The unit does have lifetime. The caps look ok. If that turns out to be a problem I have experience replacing capacitors and can troubleshoot that issue handily. The HD wasn't spinning. I even replaced the PCB on the drive, which got it to spin for 30 seconds but either the drive arm is stuck or the drive motor fails. Drive is kaputski.
