I have a question, I have an activated HR10-250 and an activated Sony T60. I also have an used H10-250 that works fine and has the newer HDMI card in it. Am I better of selling the H10-250 on ebay or activating it and turing off the T60 so I have 2 active H10-250 for future trade in when we can no longer get HD on the HR10-250 units? I appreciate any input!

Many have gotten the best of both worlds. Calll to do the upgrade on your 10's. They should let you keep them. Then turn around and sell them.

And by the way, the HR20 has a long way to go to catch up to the T60. The T60 can Autorecord reliably. The HR20 records channels you don't get instead of your own channels.

Thanks for thelp, but I imagine the only way the will upgrade the H10-250's would be if they are active correct?

If you only want two units on the account right now, I'd reactivate the HR10 to replace the T60. It will give you more SD recording time (unless the T60 has been upgraded). But, why not have all of them active? Then you'd have 6 tuners for recording.:)

Thanks for the reply, yes th T60 has been upgraded to 200 hours. If my T60 is the Original TIVO that I did get the lifetime subscription is it ok to deactivate that unit without affecting my account?

The lifetime subscription was moved to the account a while back when DirecTV took over the TiVo administration. The best way to maintain the lifetime is to make one of the other units the primary on the account, then deactivate the T60.

Another data point for you.
I have both T-60 and Hughes Series 1 Directivo's and they were forced into early retirement after I moved to a location that uses 72.5 for locals. The series 1 machines won't get sats other than 110, 119, and 101.

Not quite true....

The Philips DSR6000R01 can get Sat 72.5 for Locals. Note only the R01 model can do this not the other Two DSR6000 models.

I do not think its in the Software but more likely the Hardware.

When I moved here, and got the 72.5 Sat, I thought I would need to give up the DSR6000 unit as I was told by Directv it would not pick up the Sat. Even after the tech was here, and told them over the phone it worked fine they still did not believe him...lol.

But its been working fine now for 8 Months, so i am happy :D
