My HR10-250 started freezing while fast-forwarding today. Sometimes it will spontaneously reboot, other times I have to unplug it.
I just tried the option to clear my recording data (not the full clear) to see if that helps.
Does this sound like a failing drive? Or something else?
Last year I removed my original drive and dropped in 300GB and 400GB drives. I assume I could just put the original 250 back in, then run drive tests on the drives to see which one is failing. Then the joy of copying the drives again after getting the replacement, which will start with rebuilding my old PC with two IDE controllers, ugh...
The other idea would be to put the 250 back in, and if everything's working okay, sell it and get the HR20. But I despise the user interface on the HR20 in our bedroom...
Any tips on diagnostics, possible issues, etc. greatly appreciated.
