how to stop unwanted suggestions?

Are you sure the 3-thumbs-down programs aren't being hit by an auto-recording wishlist?

Turn off automatic recording of suggestions!

If you want some of them, then if these are occurring on particuler channels, remove those channels from the CYR list.

I second that!

I enjoy looking at "Suggestions" to see if there is anything that's my taste that I missed and might enjoy recording, but I like to maintain control.

If it were to auto-record, that would be too annoying!

so, if i like most suggestions, but a few i don't want keep reoccurring, i can't filter those i don't want?

AFAIK you cannot stop TiVo from suggesting things you don't want.

If you keep auto record suggestions turned on, you'll just have to delete recordings you don't want.

And, when you find recordings you DO like, perhaps you could Seasons Pass them, so you get to record what you want and customize your own preferences.

TiVo's strength is in helping you take control of your viewing preferences!

Hello all, how do I control the TiVo suggestions? It seems to be recording things even in Spanish that it thinks I'll like, but I don't! I am only using a trial of TiVo Plus but the dang thing seems to be profiling me!

If you don't like them, give them a thumbs-down. Give thumbs-up to things you do like and eventually it will learn your preferences. If you want to turn off suggestions altogether, you can do that under settings->recording.

If you don't want Spanish recordings, then remove those channels from the Channels You Receive list.

Remember, turning off the auto recording of suggestions doesn't stop it from making suggestions. This is a good thing because you can view the suggestion list and then schedule a recording if it found one you may like.

Jut hit thumbs down once or twice for each show you don't want and up for ones you do, given enough time it will get just stuff you like, but it may take a while.

I used to get a lot of Sunday morning cartoons cause I recorded simpsons, fam guy, and others like that, after enough thumbs down it was fine

I'm not Jim, but.... Tivo - 8

Just browse into Now Playing/Tivo Suggestions. or use the TiVo button followed by the 8 button as a shortcut
