Still not cool since it doesn't match the OP's title or problem at all and comes completely out of left field. We're happy to help the OP with their issue, but they turned the thread into a rant instead.

And this is different than every other thread in what way? Usually by the 10th post or so in any given thread the original topic has gone by the wayside and deteriorated into something else altogether, mainly because the OP's question has already been answered or there is no actual solution to the original problem.

I'm not saying that it's proper forum etiquette, but rather just the way things tend to be.
