how does geforcenow work?

I have the problem that my image freezes and the game continues to sound in the background, I don't know if it's because my television is HD or because of my connection. Someone has tried? Can you tell me about your experience with geforcenow or is it really the device that does not work for this platform? I appreciate your help.
