If you are watching a recorded show, then hit the Live button, you can go back to the recorded show by using the left arrow (next to the select button) twice, but you will have to click Select to resume the recorded program.Also is there an easy way to do this for a recorded show? Pause it, flip to a live channel, pause that, flip back to the recording, and then flip back to the channel I was watching at the spot it was paused at?
Tune to the channel you want to watch, press Pause, switch to the other tuner, tune to the second channel, Pause, switch back to the other tuner.I was trying to do this yesterday (I just got the Tivo Premiere box) and it would always go back to live when I flipped to a different channel. How can I watch 2 different channels that are not live, pause one, go to the other, and it is where I left off, then pause that, go back to the original, and have it be where I left off.
If you're on tuner 1 and try to change the channel to what tuner 2 is tuned to, TiVo will instead just switch tuners, and both channels will retain their buffer.In my experience, last channel doesn't switch tuners - it switches between the last two channels you had on this tuner and will wipe out the buffer. It is not the same as the live TV button.
(I'm not sure what happens if the last channel also happens to be what is tuned in on the other tuner though - maybe it will work as desired)
